Terms & Conditions

All students are expected to have read, understood & agreed to the terms & conditions below. Please ask for help in your own language if you need it.

Payment

All fees are payable in Pounds Stirling before the start of your course. You will not be allowed to start your course or stay in your accommodation if full fees are not paid by your first day.

A minimum non-refundable deposit payable for course fees and for accommodation required. The deposit is 50% of TOTAL FEES. No course or accommodation confirmations will be sent until the deposit(s) has/have been received. Deposits are only refundable in case of Visa refusal.

Full payment of all fees must be received no later than two weeks prior to the course start or accommodation arrival date. Please allow at least 5 working days if paying by bank transfer. Your course booking may be cancelled if full payment is not received by this time.

You are liable for all bank charges and will be billed for such charges on your first day if necessary.  Cheques drawn on a UK bank should be made payable to "London School of Business and Finance" Please make sure you write your unique LSBF Student ID number on the back of the cheque

Cancellation, Refunds & Fee Reductions

Before arrival: Any cancellations must be received in writing at least two weeks before the start date. Course fees less the non-refundable deposit(s) and any administration charges will be returned to you. You may commute your deposits to another course within one year of the cancellation date. Any cancellations after this period will incur cancellation charges of three weeks’ accommodation (if applicable), three weeks’ tuitions fees and any administration charges.

In the case of a student visa application refusal, we require notice at least two weeks notice prior to the course start date followed by official proof in the form of original documentation from the British authorities, without which, any refunds will not be possible. 

After arrival: Once your course has started, there are no refunds of tuition fees under any circumstances, nor fee reductions for public holidays or missed lessons. If you cancel your accommodation, you are required to give 2 weeks' notice and will receive a refund of outstanding fees after the notice period. If suitable accommodation is not available, you may be offered a refund of the balance of your accommodation fees (but not the placement fee).

Conditions

I.D. Upon arrival, an appropriate ID will be required including the visa page if applicable & a copy taken for our records. All information will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Accommodation: All efforts will be made to meet your accommodation requests. The school reserves the right, however, to place you in suitable alternative to the same value. Requests to change accommodation must be received with two calendar week’s notice & a further Accommodation Placement Charge will apply.

Holiday: You are allowed a holiday period in accordance with your course duration. A maximum of 4 weeks may be taken at any one time. Two weeks’ written notice must be given for holiday requests.

Attendance: Minimum attendance is 85%. If you are absent from school for 3 or more days we will try to make contact by telephone or email. If we receive no response we will try to make contact again. If, after the second attempt to make contact, you are still absent from school and have not responded to our telephone calls or emails, after 10 schools days, we are obliged to inform the Home Office of your absence which may affect your visa status.

Certificates: All students receive a certificate at the end of the course confirming level of study and attendance.

Conduct and Behaviour: The school reserves the right to cancel a student's enrolment, with no refunds, in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory behaviour. The management's decision is final.

Administration: Any changes to course or accommodation arrival dates will incur a Ј30.00 administration charge prior to any changes being carried out. We reserve the right to close classes & courses that are poorly attended or undersubscribed & offer students alternative courses/schedules to an equivalent value; change published course & accommodation information, including fees.

Liability: It is a basic stipulation of the agreement between the student & LSBF School of English or its representatives that neither the School nor its representatives are liable to the student in cases where the school is unable to fulfill any services to which they are contractually bound because of strikes or other reasons that are beyond their control.  The school accepts no responsibility or liability for personal accident or loss or damage of property. You are strongly advised to take out personal insurance.

Queries and Complaints: Students should bring any problems to our attention immediately in order for us to help you. We do not accept retrospective complaints or queries.
