All of our teachers are qualified and hold either the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) or the Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA).
Fay Drewry – Managing Director
I joined LSBF in 2010 as the Director of Studies, after many years of experience as an ELT teacher trainer in Europe and Asia. With previous experience in the financial sector, examining for Trinity London, and assessing for Cambridge ESOL, I am now the Managing Director of the School of English. In my free time I enjoy travelling, playing polo and socialising.
John Reid – Academic Manager
My name is John. I have many years teaching experience including courses from beginner to advanced and IELTS/exam courses to business English. I joined LSBF in 2010 as the Assistant Director of Studies and am now the Academic Manager. I'm always available for students to talk to about academic matters.
Chiara Farina-Ibbs – Academic Manager
My name is Chiara and I'm one of the Academic Managers at LSBF. I have over 11 years' experience in teaching, in England and abroad. I have trained English teachers at CELTA and Delta levels as well as other training qualifications since 2011. I have an MA in ELT and Applied Linguistics from King's College London, and I'm interested in Second Language Acquisition and Socio- and Psycholinguistics, especially aspects of which can improve the teachers' and students' experience in the classroom.
Heather Roberts – Special Programmes Manger
My name is Heather and I am the Specialist Programmes Manager. I look after the teachers and students on the IELTS, UAP and ESP courses, and am happy to help with all their academic questions. I have had 17 years teaching experience, specialising in IELTS, ESP, EAP, and Business English. I have also worked with people in large multinationals at all levels, particularly in the finance and legal sectors. I have an MA in Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communications from Birkbeck College, University of London. My main interests are pragmatics, sociolinguistics and critical discourse analysis.
Laxmi Hirani – Senior Customer Care Manager
Hello, my name is Lax Hirani. I'm a qualified Legal Executive by education and a Public Relations Manager by experience and profession. I've over 14 years of experience in Education Industry. The education market is very competitive so it's essential that I build up and maintain good relationships with students and clients likewise. I'm currently working as a Senior Customer Care Manager at LSBF. I have also participated in several educational events, conferences and seminars both locally and internationally. My secret second passion is modelling!

Name: Celine McDaid - Teacher
Qualifications: FCE/CAE Cambridge Examiner, CELTA, BA 2:1 Classics Oriel College – University of Oxford
Experience: Teaching for almost six years consecutively, four in IELTS. Taught Business English, FCE, CAE, IELTS, BEC (Vantage and Higher)
Interests: Preparing students for the British style of teaching in universities (much more independent work / also writer-responsible language not reader – clarity of expression)
Name: George Newth - Teacher
Qualifications: CELTA, BA (1st) - University of Wales, MA - University College London
Experience: worked in the EFL industry for 4 years and specialise in teaching lower level students.
Interests: lower levels, teaching via Skype, using multimedia to assist learning.
Name: Frank Bajorek - Teacher
Qualifications: BSc (2:1) Food European Studies - Cannington College, DELTA, Member of English UK
Experience: worked as an EFL teacher for 15 years with 18 months as an Academic Manager. Experience teaching all levels, strong in teaching exam classes.
Interests: dogme approach, lexical approach.
Name: Robert Steward - Teacher
Qualifications: CELTA, DELTA, HNC
Experience: background experience in business, catering and building / construction; has taught General English, Medical English, Cambridge Exam Classes and IELTS.
Interests: a constant movement towards improving learning and teaching techniques and a desire to make learning more entertaining.
