University Access Programme

The University Access Programme is designed for all those students who are interested in improving their academic English skills either in preparation for a first degree or for those who wish to progress onto a Masters degree with London School of Business & Finance or at a British university in the UK.

The programme combines a course in academic writing with a focus on presentation and discussion skills, as well as providing constant one-to-one support and exposure to actual academic lectures in a variety of subjects. This programme is ideal for students who require an in-depth look at what will be expected of them in an academic environment. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to progress directly onto our undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, and they will have acquired the skills and level of English needed to successfully undertake any university course with confidence.

Students can choose from 12 and 24-week options depending on their current level of English and the IELTS score needed by their university. Upon arrival, students will meet with a senior member of staff to ensure that they are being placed in the appropriate level in order for the student to meet their learning objectives. A student requires IELTS 5.0 (or its equivalent) to start the programme. If a student's English is not at the required level, the academic team may recommend starting at a lower level (e.g. Intermediate Academic English).
